WEEKLY OBJECTIVES: STUDENTS WILL LEARN THE EVIDENCE THAT LED DARWIN TO HIS THEORY AND ALSO NEW EVIDENCE LIKE ANTIBIOTIC RESISTANCE AND DNA TO EVALUATE THE IMPORTANCE OF NATURAL SELECTION IN ESTABLISHING THE PAST AND PRESENT LIFE ON EARTH.
Monday - SSR - "Vertical Farming" followed by Four Square and Tear discussion. Vocabulary Quiz: Chapter 14 and 15.1
Tuesday - Lecture on past and current evidence for the theory of evolution. Study Guide Chapter 15 assigned as homework.
Wednesday - "Bird Beak Adaptation Lab" Following the completion of this lab, students will review the procedure and then write a formal lab report.
Thursday - Half-day, only first hour will meet. Students present may work on their formal reports.
Friday - Complete lecture on evolution, Explain concept of speciation. Test on Chapter 14 and 15 will be Tuesday, March 18 with review on Monday March 17.
